Technologies for Immuno-Oncology

Immunotherapies against cancer open up completely new opportunities to fight this “emperor of all maladies“. But for this kind of therapies to become widely applied and successful, technological hurdles have yet to be overcome.

For one, meaningful biomarkers must be identified, for patient stratification as well as for monitoring therapeutic success. On the other hand, some immuno-therapeutics are not the usual kind of drugs. They are so-called Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs), and their production, quality & security control and delivery to the patient are especially challenging.

At the Conference “Technologies for Immuno-Oncology“, researchers, clinicians and companies will show approaches to tackle those challenges. The importance of translational research in unleashing the potential of those novel strategies to fight cancer will be highlighted.
In the afternoon of the conference day, attendees will have the opportunity to visit the research facilities at the TranslaTUM - Center for Translational Cancer Research, including the Core Facilities Imaging, Preclinical Research and Cell Analysis. TranslaTUM staff will be available for Q&As by the participants during a “Meet the Scientists” session. Company demonstrators as well as an accompanying exhibition will showcase technological innovations for immuno-oncology.
